The lacrosse stick has changed immensely over time. The first lacrosse stick consisted of a single round wooden shaft with leather straps to carry the ball. This stick was created to use with one hand. Natives then evolved into creating hand bent fully wooden stick. This was the first stick that was made for two hands and is the original base for all of the sticks made now. In the 1970s the first ever plastic head was released by STX. This plastic stick still had leather mesh. In the early 1980s mesh was released for the first time. Now overtime mesh had evolved into a whole different thing. Now mesh is water resistant and has so many special qualities.
