Professional Lacrosse

Professional Lacrosse has changed so much over the years. Professional lacrosse started out with the Major Lacrosse League or the MLL. The MLL was founded in 2001 and was around until it shut down operations on December 16th, 2020. During the last two years of the MLL in 2018 the Premier Lacrosse league or the PLL was started. The PLL caused the MLL to shut down. The PLL gave lacrosse players a better opportunity to make more money and spread the sport. The PLL is based on 8 teams with a 12 week schedule.
